Nah, not game over. You're right, it's a buddy/friend thing, but it's also an awkward flirty thing done by guys out of habit or because it's physical contact that's safer and less overt than, say, a hug. If you were watching a sports event together, that's just what guys do to whomever is with them, male or female.
It's no big deal.
Thanks for the question.
Were you guys at a game? Was this a greeting? I think that he is happy to see you and wants to have any physical contact he can get... that is if he is still giving you signs that he is interested. Before I dated a friend, he and I would find any way to have physical contact and it all started with high fives and then progressed from there.
We definitely left the dreaded buddy zone after a while. It was obvious that sparks were flying even if we were being goofy and high fiving or playing silly games in which our hands had to touch...
Too bad he ended up being a douche and cheated... It was such a fun relationship
I high five people all the time! Guys I like, don't like, etc. But then, I have a quirky personality...
What about fist bumbing? I really hate that.
Haha, this is especially true for high school. I knew this one guy who would high five me, call me "dude", etc, but it turns out he had a huge crush on me. It's used by shyer guys.
