This is an excellent idea. A lot of the questions we get here on Guyspeak.com fall along the lines of "How can i get so and so guy to like me." This is EXACTLY how you get a guy to like you.
Face it, most men are looking for a mother type, with a little sleaziness mixed in for good blessing. By you bringing him his meals here and there, while he's studying, you are showing him that you are a great catch and that you are serious relationship material. He will respond in a good way.

My bf is in law school, and I do this for him all the time...whether it be bringing lunch or taking the check at a quick lunch beforehand (or treating him afterwards...that way he's more laid back). Granted, we've been together for awhile, but he always seems to take me up on the offer. My only advice would be to ask him to nail down a convenient time. Law school is super hectic, and you wouldn't want to bombard him with a lunch date in the middle of his last minute study session. I normally just drop off and go.
I'm a law student myself, and I think its a great idea. Law students are always in need of decent food b/c we don't have the time or the money to make it for ourselves. One bit of advice though, don't stay too long (like 30 min), or else he'll get even more stressed out and then feel guilty for not spending much time for you.
