Comedy, nay, a sense of humor itself can take you quite far in life. It can take you to the brink of many good things, but unless the end goal is expressly a chuckle or giggle, you will need MORE.
Now, I'm not saying you are hiding behind a continuous spray of one-liners and knee slapping comedy gold, but I wonder if you ever turn off "the funny" to make room for "the vulnerable"; "the listener"; "the sexy."
Often times getting laughs is so gratifying we forget to switch it out for other things. Your funny bone can be your own Achilles heel. Perhaps the guys in your life don't see these other sides of you; sides that speak to intimacy and aromantic relationship. I'm certainly not telling you to change who you are, but I am suggesting you take notice of your "on" to "not on" around guys. Often a balance will yield the most rewards.
Think of it as mixing up your pure Ellen DeGeneres with a bit of your more sublime Portia de Rossi.
