Guys aren't necessarily intimidated by beautiful women who are extremely accomplished. In fact, this can be a turn on to many. However, just as women typically don't like a guy who talks about himself constantly and brags and blathers on about all of the great things he does in this world, men feel the same way too.
From your question it sounds an awful lot like you may be someone who needs to chill out on your perceived glories. Most people would rather hang out with a solid D student than someone who flat out tells you they have a 3.7 GPA. Geez! And all of this business about artistic interest and social circles and a competitive internship--honestly who gives a crap?
My advice, chill out. Be confident in who you are but don't be a pretentious braggart. Next to cheapness this may be one of the top turn offs, not just in dating but in every other social aspect.

This kind of attitude is found in both men and women, but it seems to work better for men. I think more women are willing to put up with a bragging jerk than men are. All the guys I know who're running around doing their best Kanye imitations have no problem finding dates. I think ladies need to be a bit more demanding in this respect. Men don't really tolerate that as much, at least the ones I know. And then the women think they're intimidating, when they're just hugely un-likable
Thank Mystery Man, you're right. Just get frustrated sometimes with guys, not to mention I had a pretty crazy break-up recently that I'm still recovering from. I'm really not as bad as everyone thinks I am on here (and yes, the internship did involve lots of sex studies and fact-finding in a professional setting). I felt like I could TMI on here and just be honest. A fine line between confident and cocky.

This one is a toughie because you didn’t come off like miss know it all or miss I have a 3.7 GPA to me. I think men are intimidated by you because they know you don’t need them. Of course you know you do but powerful/strong women have a tendency to forget how to be a woman towards a man. Intimidation is a sign of weakness to me and a lot of people will feel inferior to you because of your accomplishments. A man who is not weak won’t be intimated by you but sees you as a challenge. Its just today women are soooo easy a lot of men figure why bother to work for it when he can get it for free? I think it’s a good thing because men are intimidated by me, a pre school teacher, and it shows me that he is obviously lacking something in his character to feel inadequate. Like SELF CONFIDENCE. There are sooooo many men who lack self confidence just like us women…when you do start being confident in who you are and not what you can do or done. Then of course it would be easier for him to approach you. Plus being good in bed isn’t always a great thing…lol…trust me I know…STALKERS
She may just be listing her accomplishments in the question to give the answerer a better idea of who she is. These are things a guy will eventually learn if he dates her. It doesn't mean she's full of herself or comes across to men that way. I'm a very accomplished woman and, while I don't go broadcasting that to new guys, they figure it out when they start asking about my education and career. I've had a couple guys it seemed to intimidate, but most of the men I date are as educated and high-achieving as I am so they see it as a good thing. My advice to her would be to date men who are also intelligent and goal-oriented and it shouldn't be a problem.
We are a couple answering this question and it seems like the poster is a bit full of herself. So rather than being intimidated, guys might just be turned off by her bragging. No one wants to hear all your accomplishments. If it was up to my b/f, he would just bang you, take videos and then brag to his friends that he banged a 3.7 gpa girl who couldn't shut up about it.

I have a 3.70 gpa and have a wonderful boyfriend. Sometimes people don't click and it has absolutely nothing to do with intimidation. Sometimes people just aren't that into you, regardless of confidence or intelligence.
