Choice of shoes really doesn't have much to do with it, honestly.
Women's belief in the talismanic power of shoes has been baffling men for years. It's not that you can wear just any shoes: of course you should look good if you're trying to impress. But it's not like shoes make the difference between friend zone and hot, as a general rule. Honestly, most guys who care about your shoes are probably only going to be interested in you as a friend.
The best yardstick is to go with what you're comfortable with and what you feel makes you look good. That will give you confidence, which is way better than even the best set of shoes.
I always love to wear heels out - but I usually get more interest from guys in flats. I think sometimes guys like the "low maitanence" look.
Believe it or not I once had a guy friend who said he would be embarrassed to be out with a girl if she wasn't wearing heels. I thought that was a little odd.
I'm a flats person myself, and I haven't had any issues really. Plus at the end of a long night, i can still feel my feet. :P Sometimes flats are just necessary. I think most guys understand the a lot of girls are willing to go through pain for fashion, but very few of them actually expect you to do that for them.
I party with my guy friends every Saturday night, and on the rare occasion that I'm in heels, I always get a "Daaamn girl you look good tonight" from most. They notice. It's not about the shoe, it's about the shoe making your legs and butt look better. And they do notice. :)
i always wear heels (since i was like 9?) so im extremely comfortable in them, but i have wearing flats, and i get like half the regular attention i usually get when i enter a room, so idk it seems to me that i get approaced more often in heels- but irregardless of that, im still going to be wearing heels, i find them a million times more comfortable than flats.
I honestly think that you should wear a shoe for you and no one else. I sometimes wear heels... but I do it for me,a sort of pick me up if I've had a shitty week, or if I want to really make an effort.
I'm not tall (5ft3) so I suppose I should wear heels, but I find them painful and... I'm hoping that a guy I'm into isn't looking at my feet... if he is, then I doubt he"s interested... he probably is bored.
This all comes down to a fish hook, heels may or may not help you get the guys attention, but you have to keep it. I don't feel as though heel vs. flats is a fate that is dump-worthy in ay case! :-)
