Are men intimidated by vibrators during sex? I'm now dating a guy who keeps asking me how he can please me in bed. Should I ask him to use a vibrator, or will it hurt his ego?

Yes, there are men who are intimidated by vibrators during sex, and I was one of them.

On a certain level, some men look at vibrators and have a sudden prophetic vision of a future where we are all replaced by giant, sleek, clit-busting sex robots. And to some guys, it is totally an ego thing. We're supposed to be able to satisfy you with our very own Vulcan Love Pinch.

But the truth is, very few women can climax purely through vaginal sex. I mean, it's possible for all women to have vaginal orgasms, but they are elusive, like the ninja. And from what I understand, they aren't as explosive as clitoral orgasms, the sexual response most men are familiar with. Direct stimulation of the clitoris is the easiest and most common way to turn a woman into a Roman candle.

I had a girlfriend once who owned a vibrator that looked like it belonged to a ten-foot tall dolphin Yeti. At first, I was fine with it. She got herself off when I wasn't around and vice versa. But I wasn't into a threesome with a torpedo full of hummingbirds.

And then she explained everything to me -- naked, sweaty, mid-thrust. She didn't beg me to allow the vibrator into bed. She just whispered in my ear "please," and "it's a toy for both of us," and "you won't be sorry." We took a nanosecond break: she grabbed her toy and we went at it. Only this time, there was direct stimulation of her sweet tart. She moaned, bucked, writhed. I had red claw marks on my chest to match my back. The sheets blushed, the mattress complained, and the walls lit up cigarettes. I'm positive that at the local university, in the geological department, a Richter scale read 8.8.

I felt like a rock star. All because I listened to her, and what she wanted. I know you're not a dude, so I won't say "Listen to your woman." Just make sure that when you tell him what you want, you say it in a way that makes him know that you want to play a game where everyone wins.

i don't know about the heat, but i do know i'm liable to name a child "Lelo" after my one true love. Seriously, they are really, really good!

For the record, did anyone else find that story hot?? Just wondering... ;)

I have been dying to try the we-vibe. It's designed for couples and is supposed to be good for both partners. Maybe that would be less intimidating.

Is it just me, or are vaginal sex orgasms better than clitoral? I don't know who you are talking to, but clitoral orgasms cannot match vaginal.
