This brings up an interesting point.
I've had various debates with people about whether or not its "bom" or "bow". Everybody agrees with the spelling and sound of the final three words but the initial word is always subject to debate.
Now, when I say it outloud, I definitely tend to intone an "-m" sound at the end. But I can understand the argument for the "-w" sound.
Conventional wisdom would indicate to me that "bom" makes me sense since it's generally interpreted as a play on pr0n music and as we all know, "bom" is a common pr0n music sound. However, asking a chick to "bow" is also central to the genre as well.
As you can see it's a discussion fraught with complexities and idiosyncracies.
Either way, I just thank you for bringing such an important issue to the table.
I think 'bom' sounds better. There's already enough -ow sound in there!
I agree with kathy, I always say "Bom" anyway
Interesting... I always thought of it as "Baum chicka bow-wow."
when I say it out loud it's almost a bowm.....like it's the bow but you close it out with a soft m.....
At the risk of bringing controversy to the discussion, I suggest 'chicka chicka bow wow.'
I believe the Arkansas way of saying it is Brown chicken, Brown cow! Just thought i'd let yal know :)
