Have you heard that one? I actually I just made it up. The old notion that wearing a pair of frames makes you square and unattractive is as outdated as monocles and your grannies stockings.
Glasses these days - with the array of shapes, sizes, brands, styles - are straight-up fashion accessories. Yes, they help people not talk to mailboxes or drive into a Wendy's, but they are equally tools/opportunities to help your look pop. Open a mag or turn on your TV and you'll see celebrities, athletes, etc wearing glasses just to complete their look. Glasses can help frame your face - creating dynamic contrast to your features, adding some color, or new angles.
So when it comes to spectacles being antithetical to sexy - false False FALSE. Find the right frames and your sex appeal will come into focus.
Some women have serious "specs appeal"...
i feel so much more confident and better looking with my glasses than without. i'd never get contacts. and when i decided to get a new pair my bf was very happy to help me find one lol :)
I have had quite a lot of sleazy men come up to me recently telling me my glasses look sexy. That wasn't the intended effect of wearing them, but hey - there's your answer.
The right glasses can convey much on a woman; class, intellectualism, warmth, down-to-earth, etc.
The only caveat I can think of is a particular style of glasses may attract types of boys you have no interest in.
My glasses have never stopped me getting hit on, although I'm sick of sleazy guys telling me I look like a sexy librarian! Come on dudes, seriously! Where's the creativity??
I'm sorry, Katie my dear, but obviously your ravishing specs appeal dashes away all semblance of creativity. You're lucky to get a rote "sexy librarian" routine instead of a barely intelligible "Woah!" followed by profuse drooling.
I used to not have glasses. I had pics of me sans glasses on a dating site; I got some responses. I got glasses last November, added pics of me with them and whoa! I received lots of responses, like night and day difference. In fact, my boyfriend said that my glasses were a very big turn on when he saw my pic :)
