No.
It breaks the half plus 7 rule that every guy should know and obey. As you may not have heard of it, take his age. Half it and add 7. If that is higher than your age, his eyes, hands and attention should be elsewhere. Otherwise it gets creepy really quickly.
Of course, if you are the senior and he is the freshman - go for it.
I think the "half plus 7" rule goes for girls too. It's a maturity thing - guys, especially teenagers and young twenty-somethings, tend to mature more slowly than girls. Why would you want to date someone who's likely less mature than you are?
So someone who is 45 can date someone who is 34? It would be half 45 = 22.5 plus 7 = 29.5? For the other one it's 17 + 7 = 24. So as long as the othjer person is at or older than those ages it's okay for them to date? Not sure.
For me he'syounger. Not sure if I want to change from friends to more than. He keeps asking me how young is to young then kisses me with tongue. I'm seriously thinking about it because I do like him a lot.
The half plus seven rule applies to the male. Women may have a similar rule, but, like what goes on in the group bathroom sessions, men are not privy to it.
However - if you are both over 21 tear up the rule book and give it a whirl. What you got to lose?
....How is a couple where one party is 45 and the other 34 weird? My aunt and uncle got married when he was 44 and she was 33.
Sometimes age really is just a number, especially if you're over 30.
Hell I'm just 24 and the guy I'm seeing is 31 and I couldn't be happier! He's utterly thrilled that I'm giving him a chance because he had thought he was scaring me away XD
But seriously if you guys do date while in HS and the one graduates and the other is still under 18 it can be bad. So look up the legal rules to your state for age of consent, if one of you would fall under the part where you need parents permission when the other is 18 then do it. But keep in mind that if you send eachother nude pics/ racy texts that it can nail the 18 yo as owning child porno simply due to the fact one is 18 and the other is under 18 parent consent or even freely given doesn't matter to the law they are very black and white on that topic.
But if it's to get your feet wet in the dating scene give it a whirl but do be careful to not get sucked into anything bad/ things you personally aren't ready to do.
I'm a 14 year old about to turn 15 on Sunday. I'm talking to a senior aboit dating. I don't see anything wrong with it. Alot of people do it at my school. As long as you both can draw the line we he gets to "excited" i dont see a thing wrong with it.
I'm late, but I'm a freshman and I've dated a senior since October :) were doing great. The age difference is 3 1/2 years and it doesn't bother anything. He doesn't treat me like a child. He got kicked out by his brother and the situation is complicated because he's graduating soon and his parents live in another state. He can't move in with them because he has to finish high school. Were closer than anyone could possibly imagine. He's my best friend and we have the best relationship ever. We tell eachother EVERYTHING and he'd never let anything hurt me. We do everything together. He's a starting football player and I'm his little varsity cheerleader :)
