Yes. I'm an average looking guy, and I've been successful. Except for all those times I've been shot down, sneered at, or openly mocked. But hey, you can't win big unless you gamble big.
Looks are superficial, but are still an important aspect of dating. But first impressions are vastly overrated. There is just no accounting for chemistry. People either click, or they don't click. I went on a date once with this totally gorgeous woman -- her Facebook page made my testicles high five each other. But we went out, and had the chemistry of a warm bowl of oatmeal. I've also been ambushed by chemistry. Gone on a date half-heartedly and been bowled over by how much click. What is chemistry, exactly? It's mysterious cocktail of pheromones, compatibility, and freakin' magic.
Finding that "click" is a rare and awesome thing. It's hard to find. It takes patience, courage, and an open heart. It's rarity gives relationships, and the pursuit of them, their value. So just keep at it.
Testicles high-fiving each other??
I peed my pants.

I have that effect on men. My girls have been known to leave bodies behind at ren faires. Corsets can just do SOOO much.
As far as ordinary looking, you are as beautiful as you think you are. I've always known that I have a pretty face. However, it's only been recently that I've been believing myself to be beautiful. My God has that opened so many doors guy wise.
