The butterflies are important to get you into the door, but its unfair to expect them to last forever. I'm sure it can happen with some people, but I think for the majority of us, the novelty eventually wears off. Sure you actually love this person but the "heart skips a beat when they walk into a room" level or romanticism? That's for movies.
And of course I've wanted another woman's personality in another person's body. It's human nature. I want every chick who I think is cool to look like Halle Berry or Lauren Conrad. But most don't. And it doesn't bother me. You've got to let people be themselves and learn to appreciate them for who they are. Real love will carry you through all those doubts and concerns. Assuming it's there in the first place.
Sounds to me like you are a hopeless romantic which is a good quality to have as long as there's some balance in realizing that at some point you have to stop chasing butterflies and focus on the ones that are sitting in front of you to be admired and appreciated.
That sounded way deeper in my head than it did when I read it back.
I'm sexxy.
