Yeah, I don't know many dudes who demand that women wear make-up. There are evolutionary theories as to why women wear make-up. That make-up is meant to represent the human face during sexual arousal, when lips and cheeks are flush with blood. But generally, I think make-up is like lingerie. It's something that women wear to feel sexy.
But men don't care. Seriously. You ladies look gorgeous without it. Seriously. There's something about a woman's skin, the way it naturally glows. There's also the fact that your mouths taste better with out the beauty grease. Sweeter.
So yes, go natural. Because, you know, who are you fooling? We know when your face is made-up. And it's not that you look like a hooker. Make-up is just fake. You don't need it.
This was a sweet answer! Wish I could go without makeup but I work at a makeup store...sadly, it must be worn. I feel so much more free without it on! It's suffocating almost, when I wear makeup.
I wish a lot of girls would have the courage not to wear it. It's sad, I hear so many women say, "Ugh, I could never go out without my makeup on..." That's so sad. You can't go out looking like yourself? When did our society turn us into these people that hated our natural beauty?
Okay, rant over. Sorry!
Basic rule: less to impress men & more to impress lady
Make up/dress keep it simple & modest
Whoa, BAD advice. Girl, keep the make up on but apply light. Heavy make up is disgusting no doubt, but the reform player is crossing a line. Ladies, when it comes to make up, dont ask these guys. They dont have a clue about the art of make-up and applying it. Men CLAIM to dislike make up on women, but guess what ladies? Men fall for the women who are made up and sexy and THOSE LADIES are the one with make up. SIMPLY PUT, men dont know the wonders of make up and will never figure it out. Red lips are hot, they just need to be apply in a way that says youre classy rather than slutty. Which means go with a brighter shade and pair with a classy black dress, not trampy boots with tights.
I disagree with this. I hardly ever wear make up and have no problems meeting men. When I do wear make up it's tented lotion and a little blush and eye liner....
I agree with this. I've watched men closely, and this is easy to do because men can't not look at women in public. The ones who are checked out the most by men have makeup on and are dressed well, and hair is done nice or very well kept.
The problem is some of these ladies take such good care of themselves, and know exactly what flatters them, so that men don't realize that they actually effort into their appearance. This leads them to think that these women are natural, but upon closer inspection - and when these people date, they soon learn that this so called natural look takes time. Next time you're with your guy, or around a lot of guys, watch their eyes.
Also, to Katej - you're totally misreading what she's saying. That is if a person wears too much, it can be a turn off, as it can be when worn badly.
You obviously don't wear a lot, and as you've said, don't have trouble meeting men. This would fall into the exactly what she's saying; that you're doing it in a way that isn't god awful. But you're still wearing makeup, and you're still not natural.
The point that most men are making is that they want women not to wear any makeup at all. They want a so called natural look that has no effort at all. No tinted moisturizer and no mascara or anything...
I think people DO notice when people aren't wearing make-up, because we're just so used to seeing it on people, that even if they're beautiful, they can look very washed out without a bit of colour, dark eyes, etc.
The trick is to not wear much day to day. Then, if you don't feel like it, probably no-one will notice. But then again, I don't like too much make-up on a girl anyways.
Heavy makeup is HOT!! I love when a woman looks trashy and slutty. It gives the impression she wants it bad and it makes me want to give it to her. When it comes to lipstick "The Redder, the better!!". Combine that with thick black eyeliner, and long red fingernails and I'm hooked.
