While fishnets are no longer strictly associated with women of the night, there is still a certain, I don't know - as the French say - aura that fishnets give off. People generally associate fishnets with more risque behavior and a certain freedom about oneself in the bedroom arts.
Put it this way, while everybody who wears fishnets isn't exactly a vixen; all vixen rock fishnets.
Or at least that's the prevailing thought on the matter. I queried an expert in the field of vixenation, my pal Juan, and he assured me that fishnets have become a standard fashion item for the celebs. So while people like Beyonce and Lady Gaga might sport the 'nets with reckless abandon, we assume a certain aesthetic about them that is generally suited to a performance. I don't believe that Beyonce wears fishnets around the house. Gaga...I'm not sure she doesn't wear fishnets or fishhooks around the house.
So the main point is this, if I see you out wearing fishnets, I won't think you're a pro. But if I think that you're a pro in the first place, I won't be surprised if you have on fishnets tights.
