Do you mean do I like them in terms of their function and duty or do I like them like them? Since this is GuySpeak and not hotjobs.com I'll assume the latter. Yes. Women in uniform, in authority, in caked on make-up, coffee stained skirts, saddled with pretzels and earphones are sexy. When I was younger I thought so much more; I would travel with the hopes that just once, a 42 year old, Dallas based divorcee would lock eyes with me, as she passed me a glass of water for my Ativan, and signal to meet her in the restroom in ten. But of course that never happened. She was from Phoenix. Ba Dum Chik.
There is nothing I like more than a broad, ugly stereotype, and it does seem the flight attendant population breeds a certain type. And while they aren't knockouts, they're 90% on the right side of attractive. Not the prom queen, but maybe 3rd runner up...22 years ago. They seem to be a relaxed bunch, too. I suppose surviving thousands of miles at 30,000 feet and living through more than a few close calls will sort of zen a person out.
Every time I'm at a hotel with a pool, if there's a group of fairly attractive women smoking Salems, sipping wine coolers, and soaking their tans and mascara in the hottub - they are flight attendants. These days I don't join them in hopes of turning the water into a cock pit (sorry, had to), but just so I can hear the juicy conversation: the gossip about people I don't know, the tales of layover hell in London, the shitty hotels in Tampa, and all the rest.
It doesn't make me hard, but it does bring me to an upright position.
Aw, Funny Guy, ya just haven't been on the right airlines. Airlines from other countries have young beautiful flight attendants. I've seen the job ads for them, specifically states you must be attractive in order to apply. Flew on Emirates airlines countless times, never had a female flight attendant on any of the flights that wasn't drop-dead gorgeous. Pretty much the same for Singapore Airlines, Korean Airlines, Thai, or almost any non-Western carrier where PC hasn't overtaken the culture.
Alas I am way too unattractive myself to ever interest to "signal to meet her in the restroom in ten."
You make excellent points. In fact, years ago I flew Singapore Airlines and had to meet myself in the restroom.
Proud to be a Singapore Girl!!!
