I think anyone who literally tries to retcon the real world is probably not ideal dating material. And yeah, if someone asks you out and then "forgets that happened," move on. The only way he could be clearer would be to paint you a sign. Or, you know, talk to you like a human being.
Forget the douchebag. It sounds like he's either too cowardly to express himself, too confused to know what he wants, or delusionally insane, and you'd do well to avoid any and all of those qualities in a boyfriend.
Of course, the more important question is how to get revenge on him for spurning you. I suggest fighting imaginary fire with imaginary fire...or should I say imaginary PREGNANCY? Who cares if you never went out? If he can warp the past to his whims, so can you.

Actually, this happened to me. Its not as much that he forgot we went out but its never mentioned. I still like him a lot but he doesn't talk to me...at all. I think he's not talking to me because he doesn't know how I feel. Should I just let go and move on or what? This is so confusing. I want to confront him and ask him why he really broke up with me but I'm afraid he'll be like why are you asking about that now?
I've got almost the same situation. He was really into me, we hooked up, then for a while nothing happened so I explored other options. Guy 1 stops talking to me and when I confronted him about this all he said was "I didn't want to send you double signals." My point is: you can try but he's probably going to give you some lame excuse like the one I got and you'll still be left with nothing. But if you're ok with putting your feelings out there I guess you should, I didn't have the nerve and I think that that's why he disconnected as well...
