I would think there are a possible 3 things going on:
1) He's looking for a way back in after giving you some space and hoping you've had time to forgive him for dumping you, withou entirely moving on. In other words, he regrets ending things with you and is hoping he's got a chance.
2) He was just thinking about you and wanted to see how you were.
3) He's a total dog and is hoping you're still willing to sleep with him (i.e., you miss him soooo much, have been pining, etc.).
Of course he does, but only when he's either awake or sleeping. He (fortunately or unfortunately) is programmed to do so. It doesn't actually mean anything but it's naive to think he doesn't. And by the way, so do many women.

I agree and disagree with the answer to what and why guys think what they do during sex and what not of other women. To a point it is true.. I mean banks and human bodies are not in the same genre. And a lot of guys who think of another woman sexualy will ultimately act on it. Meaning, they will either rape some girl, go home or use their phone for porn surfing... on the ps3, pc, charter on demand .. etc. Or act out the fantasy with the annonymous girl to their partner.
