Flattery will get you everywhere, Mom. Thank you.
No really, thanks. This submission tickled my face and warmed my knees. I sent it to Miss Funny Guy, who at the time was in the middle of folding my underwear, dusting my laptop and cooking my dinner. (She eats afterwards. In our pantry; canned goods mostly).
She thought it was sweet too. And so, I forced her to stop choring for a moment and weigh in directly. She was delighted to, as it gave her a moment to rest her arms and communicate with the outside world.
Yup, wit and candor, I'd agree with that assessment. From the moment I met Funny Guy I felt I had a special man in my presence. A sweetness and intelligence that is rare. Not too hard on the eyes and willing to sing me to sleep when I'm sick. I'd say I am a lucky woman. And you will be too. Keep searching, they're out there - buried beneath the maniacs and jerks. -- Mrs. FG
