I'd not delete his number from your phone - if you keep it in your contacts it you know exactly which calls to ignore and texts to delete unread.

Amen to that! I agree to the nth degree on this. My ex tried to pull something similar. I was naive enough to believe we could still be friends, but it couldn't be done. He just wanted to put me in his back pocket and save me for a rainy day. Not okay. Despite how retarded my heart is about him, he's no friend (or love of mine) if he can act so childishly. Not to mention he had another girl on the side (maybe even while we were together). Not cool. Excellent advice once again Mystery Man. I hope the person behind the question listens to you. It'll save her a lot of hurt in the long run if she does.
i dont think the dude even deserves a one last text or email. but good point about not deleting his number. dont delete his number but change his contact name to "douchebag". when you see you have one new message or call from douchebag, that's what the ignore button is for. i've often said the "ignore" button was invented by an angry ex girlfriend or ex wife. another post where another song is running through my head while reading it, jan arden, "maybe you might have some advice to give, on how to be, insensitive." if you're gonna send him anything, maybe send him that. then yeah, take a look in the mirror and realize how awesome you are, you don't deserve that shit sandwich today, or any other day. sorry for cursing but dudes like this really bring it out in me and they simply aren't worth the time it takes to be polite. good luck.
