What gives? You, that's what. You gives him chance after chance after chance, and he gives you the finger time and time again.
Two people come to mind at this moment. One is whoever said, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." The other is Albert Einstein, who defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Both apply to you -- as does the scene in Animal House where Kevin Bacon gets smacked on the ass repeatedly with a paddle and says, "Thank you, sir, may I have another?" after each whack. But he was trying to get into a fraternity. What's your excuse?
Your boy keeps breaking up with you because he knows you'll take him back. He starts thinking he's hot stuff and should be dating lots of girls, so he gives you the ball-and-chain bit. But then no one else will give him the time of day (shocker, that), so he comes back to his sure thing: you.
The guy's a chump. He doesn't want a ball and chain? You can help. Drop him like a deuce and don't take him back. He's using you and has no regard whatsoever for your feelings. Lance him like the hairy ass-wart he is and be done once and for all. Someone else can be his fool. You've done your time.
"Go with the flow." The f**k does that even mean?
"Hairy ass-wart" made me chuckle.
Albert Einstein also wrote "Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe." Oddly enough, I think that Einstein quote might actually be more appropriate here.
Indeed! I have been in the same boat myself, where I was crazy enough about the person, gave them the benefit of the doubt, and kept letting them back into my life. It wasn't a boyfriend, but it isn't a much better a situation, either. Also, If you think about it, you're kind of doing the same thing he is. You take comfort in the fact that you know he'll keep coming back no matter what he says, but in this case, he's the one on top (so to speak) because he's screwing with your brain. Start dating other people, go see what's out there, and it will help you to move on. There's people out there willing to have something meaningful with you and although it might be scary, it will save you a lot of heart-ache in the long run.
What a lovely day for a 3734027! SCK was here
