I think it's pretty awful. (If it's even true.) When I have a daughter, she won't be allowed on Facebook until she's 35.
Is this maybe an urban legend? Did you hear about this on the local news? "What your kids are doing on Facebook may shock you..." How are they getting these photos? Do they know these girls? Are they befriending random people and then convincing to send them nude photos? I can't imagine any girl would gladly hand over nude photos to some random dude on Facebook. Methinks these guys are losing quite a bit of money.
Are there douchebags who do this? Maybe. But I think most guys are not this disgusting. Also, hopefully girls are catching on that if you send nude photos to guy, they may end up on the Internet.
That said, I have a public service announcement. Ladies of all ages, come closer. I have something to tell you. DO NOT SEND NUDE PICS TO RANDOM DUDES! I thought that was pretty self-explanatory. This happened to me, actually. Exact situation. A friend texted me and explained that he got stuck in a bet for $150 to get nudes from 10 of his selected FB friends. I was one of the chosen 10(which was creepy enough, because he explained that the guys chose the girls after looking through their pictures and deciding if they wanted to see them naked. Ugh, I had a gaggle of guys lusting after my perfectly innocent pictures.). He seemed embarassed to even ask, which he should have been, because I chewed him out about it after turning him down.
What surprised me the most is that he said he had already got a few of the girls to send him the pictures! I couldn't believe a girl would even consider it! It's not like he lied and tried to say "It's a special thing just for me." he was very up-front with the fact that it was for a bet and that a lot of his friends would be seeing it. Come on, have some respect for yourselves, girls!
i'll take no self esteem for $150, alex. sheesh. good for you.
