You're partially right. I don't think he's aware of how this makes you feel, and I don't think he's purposefully trying to make you jealous. But he sounds like he's deeply insecure. Tell him he's pretty. When he tells you about hot chicks he meets, respond "I bet they're all totally attracted to you, my big, sexy muscle pony." Then pinch his cheeks. Or say "It must really be tough to have soooo many beautiful women throwing themselves at you. I am the luckiest girl in the whole wide world!" Then fall to your knees and beg him never to leave you. Cry and wail. Tell him he's a sex god with a penis that has it's own time zone.
Then laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh.
Do that, or just ignore him. Engage in a game of playful tit for tat and mention some coworker who won't stop flirting with you. You don't flirt back because, you know, you're dating someone. But generally, ignore your boyfriend. He's being a vain little princess. But, and this is a small caveat, don't shy away from telling him he's awesome. If and only if he deserves it.
What he's doing is insensitive, disrespectful, and rude. Tell him you don't like it. Ask him to stop. Do NOT tell him he's "awesome" for being rude to you- I on't care what his self-esteem issues are.

I don't agree at all. Flirting is harmless, and let's face it, if he was going to cheat he probably wouldn't broadcast it like this. I'm pretty sure he's just looking for affirmation that he's good looking. Just like RP said.
I agreed with the RP cuz, i used to like this guy, I was dating and I did the same... I always used to tell him about other guys that "stare" at me, and he gets so jealous... I love to see his reaction, and I enjoy the feeling, its like a game, and you can make the other person that others are attracted yo you too... :-p
