I think, "There's a pretty girl. I wonder what she looks like naked." I don't really think about world religions when I'm gettin' my perv on.
How would I know she's Jewish, anyway? I'm pretty sure that wearing a Star Of David badge went out in the mid-1940s. Is she coming from the menorah shop or eating gifelte fish? What's my tip-off? Even if I knew she was Jewish, I wouldn't care. I'd probably just be glad she wasn't Baptist.*
Most guys aren't going to know the difference. The ones who do, the ones for whom it's important to spot and label different kinds of people, those aren't the kind of guys you want to date, anyway.
Be yourself. Embrace who you are. Some will like you, some won't. Such is life. People who disqualify others without knowing them aren't worth your time. There are plenty of good guys out there who aren't prejudiced, and I'm confident you'll meet one.
* Joke. Relax, dunkers.
Cary, when she said "modestly dressed Jewish woman", I assume she meant the sort that wears below-the-knee skirts with dark thick stockings, etc. - more orthodox attire. So that's how you'd know she was Jewish. Just to clarify.
I read it as, "Will a guy find me sexy if I'm Jewish and not dressed like a ho?" Seems like she would've said "orthodox," but you could be right.
Same answer applies, though -- if he knows she is Jewish and is turned off because of that, she wouldn't want to date him, anyway.
"Relax, dunkers."
I love that. I'm stealing that for the next family reunion.
The only thing that would turn me off about a Jewish woman would be if she preferred to date only other Jews.
That doesn't go just for Jews. A cute red head approached me on a subway, once, and struck up a conversation. When I told her that I declined her offer to go to her church with her, she turned and walked away. It was perfectly her right, of course, but I found it to be a turn off.
"Is she coming from the menorah shop or eating gifelte fish?" :-D
My sister likes to joke about her "Jewish nose". What's funny is that, not only are we not Jewish, but that never prevented her from getting a date. Haven't you ever read "The Diary of Anne Frank"? Before that girl went into the attic, she was pretty popular among her classmates. In today's world, she probably would have had to leave behind a boyfriend! (Not trying to make light of a tragedy, but the whole light of the story is how she was just a normal person.)
What a lovely day for a 4755210! SCK was here
