I love Fridays.
And do you know why I love Fridays? I love them because they're almost Saturday but not quite Thursday. They start with "fri" and who doesn't love things that start with "fri". Let's think of some, mmkay?
Fries? Check.
Frisbee? Check.
Friends? Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Check.
See? All of those are great things that start with "fri". You what else I love about Fridays? If you are traditionally employed like a lot of us are, you get tomorrow off! Isn't that wonderful? I like having the day off. I makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Not unlike hot cocoa on a cold November evening. Do you ever wonder why so many people make it like November and December are the coldest months of the year when January and February are TOTALLY cold too? If I were January and February I'd be PISSED at my PR people for not telling the whole story. It's like they get no love aside from Valentine's Day which fof most of us not living in LA, Phoenix, or Miami has some coldness to it. Bad PR man, it's the worst.
Anyway, thank you for sharing your Friday with me.
And to answer the question: ask him.
Thank you and good night.
Panama, you are SO funny!
Sometimes, you have to give the guy friend something to think about. My best guy friend and I spent a day together about a year and a half ago. We bickered NON-STOP, like an old married couple. At the end of the day, I got ready to leave, and he gave me a hug. I kissed him....just a peck on the lips, but a kiss, nonetheless. It took him a month, but he eventually asked me if I'd ever thought about us together (it was all I'd thought about for about a year)....and we've been dating ever since.
Now, doing something like that IS a risk....but I took it because I was pretty sure he was feeling the same thing but was too scared to do it (I was in the process of ending my horrible marriage). The worst he can do is say he doesn't feel that way....but either way, you know where you stand. Good luck!
OMFG, I love it. XD Panama, you're the best.
(I always though January was the coldest month!)
WTF, Panama?! Hell of a way to beat around the bush.
I would say ask him only if you think he might have feelings for you AND if you know you have feelings for him.
If you're not interested in him that way and you ask, it will just get awkward whichever way he ends up responding.
If you have feelings for him, but you sense that he won't reciprocate...you need to be prepared for that conversation to alter your friendship.
It's a tough spot. Bon chance!
Listen, if a guy wants to date you, he will do everything in his power to date you. Period.
I am with the love of my life, and before we finally got together we were friends for over 10 years. Do you know what he did during those 10 years? He tried to date me. I was never interested in him that way, but he persisted... and now here we are. I just think relationships and romance are a lot less complicated than people make them out to be.
