He is, I assume, adequately male? As in, fully functional in the trouser department? He must be if he is checking the talent.
Guys check out chicks. Full stop. It is as instinctive as checking the fly and not putting down the toilet seat. Guys are very visual, and anything looking vaguely interesting gets their full attention for at least a few seconds.
Sure, you can stop him, by being one of those hectoring, overbearing women who berates their partner at every step, verbally beating him into a caricature of a male. And watching your own sex life dry up until it is a dim and fond memory in the process.
Why not try making a bit of an effort and giving him a reason to look at you, instead of complaining that his attention is drifting? After all, you know his turn ons.
haha wow, this is SUCH a dick answer.
I agree. He can't have it both ways either. At the top he writes about how its natural for guys to always look at other women, that its a biological thing, blah blah blah. It 'just happens". Then later he's writing about how a woman should put more effort into her appearance to be something to look at herself, or at least heavily implying it. It's either due to his woman's appearance (no) or due to biology ( the want to, yes, but not need). But you cant say that it is related to a girlfriends attractiveness if the guy would do it all the time even if she was attractive. It's just not logical.
I honeslty hate these responses. You just cant be like, oh your boyfriend is checking other ladies out? Work out more lazy pants and put some makeup on.. Oh you do put effort into your appearance? Oh well its just biology sorry cant help ya. I swear this answer is made up by men in secret so that women will feel insure about themselves and always looke presentable to prevent thier guys from checking out other women.
Yes, biology makes us have tendencies and make us crave things, but only a child (or a crappy boyfriend haha) would confuse something we want to do with something we need. No girlfriend should have to resort to extra primping just to be respected by her boyfriend while out in public. It might work, but that doesn't make it right.
I agree. Most of this answer, but especially the end, is incredibly sexist. What exactly does "try making a bit of an effort" mean? Are you implying that she looks all fugly when they go out, or that she's supposed to be on his sack 24/7?
I will admit that some people of both sexes check others out even when they are in a relationship. Knowing that, I think it's the way it is done (if it's done at all) that matters. A quick, appreciative glance (I think it was Girls' BFF who once likened it to appreciating art) of an attractive woman or man is one thing, but mentally undressing them and staring are quite another.
Oh ya i totally I agree on that. I dont mind if a guy glaces at all. I glance. Glancing is ok. I just dont appreciate STARING, you know prolonged weirdo looking at someone. It's just creepy to the girl and disrespectful to me. i should have made that distinction above.
awesome answer :)
it's a very honest answer! I am convinced women look just as much as men. Women are just more self-conscious and prone to bitch fits. Being a woman myself, I like to enjoy God's handiwork when I see an attractive guy whether I'm in a relationship or not. I figure it's the same way for men... kinda. In the end if he goes home to you and wants you, then what's the problem?
Exactly! Stop being so sensitive. Do you really believe because you're in a relationship and "madly in love" that his dick is just going to shrivel up at the sight of other women? Make it interesting, have him invite some of the girls he's looking at to bed with you both and then show them who's boss it will be a cold day in hell when he looks at another women again and doesn't think of that :)
I think I am in love.
Men are biologically hardwired to check out other women. Scientific fact. We are also not naturally monogamous. That issue is forced on us by society sadly. So buck it up, damn.
Just start paying attention to guys in that manner and when he says something about it bring up his fatal attraction of staring girls down!
