Congratulations, and thanks for noticing. I agree with you: I think many guys get better in bed as we age, and there are several reasons for that.
First is experience. Practice makes perfect. The more lovers we have, the more we learn what women want in bed. Every woman is different, yes, but if we get nekkid with enough of you, we'll see trends in what you like and don't like in the sack. We'll also learn where certain parts are, parts your average 18-year-old has never even heard of, much less located or learned how to touch.
Older guys also have more patience. At some point in our sexual journey we realize that hey, not only is this fun, but it's even more fun if I take my time and make it last. The old "wham-bam-thank-you-ma'ams" of our younger days don't hold the same appeal anymore. That's not to say we don't enjoy a down 'n' dirty quickie every now and again, but slow and steady is how we roll (in the hay).
We take time to absorb and appreciate every aspect of our lover's beauty: not just your naughty bits, but the smell of your hair, the taste of your skin, the softness of your lips, the way you look into our eyes and respond to our touch, your cute little feet and the freckles on your chest and how you're ticklish in some spots. We notice, and noticing takes time.
Part of taking our time is learning to listen. Older guys are savvy enough to know that not every woman likes it exactly the same way, so we listen to what you say and watch how you respond. Younger guys like to think they know everything; that's just part of being young. Older guys know that there's always something to learn about a woman, and we are willing and eager students.
I think older guys tend to be more selfless and giving than inexperienced lovers. We've learned along the way that it really is better to give than receive, much like that first Christmas or Hanukkah when we realized we were more excited about a loved one opening our gift than seeing what they got us. Of course we like pleasure, but you'd be surprised how much of it we get from giving you pleasure. Seasoned dudes know that a "ladies first" policy usually makes for a more kick-ass tumble.
Or, as one of my friends says, maybe it's just "trial and error, dumb luck and Viagra."

Slow and steady and taking the time to enjoy it and do it right are all definitely good things. Basically, I think inexperienced men are only capable of a sexual sprint. That seems to be enough for them. Sprints are OK sometimes, but aren't always what a woman is looking for. Marathons are more satisfying and create much more pleasure for a woman. Older men are much better at marathons.
And some women like relay races. At least, according to videos I've seen.

I have to agree here.. I've been with both younger and older guys, and even with the some of the younger guys having more partners, the older guys were definantly better lovers. They were just more.. involved in every aspect of it, instead of just a race to get my panties off and get themselves off.

I think a contributing factor may also be that at some point the hair-trigger goes away. Maybe that's why so many youngsters do the mad dash. The desire to get in as many strokes as possible before eruption.
