Congratulations to you on keeping to your ethics at your old job. A lot of people say they don't date at their jobs, but when tempted they change their positions quick.
You may want to drop your old boss an email and ask him if he would like to meet up for a drink or coffee or something like that, but do NOT under any circumstances proclaim your love for him. Nothing says "stalker" quicker than a rush to tell someone how you feel about them too quickly, especially if you think you love him.
