I sympathize. Being physically demonstrative never came easy to me either. You are definitely not alone. Way back in February I had this exact same question.

There is no "right" amount of affection to show, everyone is different. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a little reserved. Makes a pleasant change from gals who insist on draping themselves all over you at every opportunity and clinging.
Still, you see this as a problem and want to fix it.
It is not hugely difficult to show affection.
Start by holding hands from time to time when you are walking. It is the easiest way to show physical affection, and pretty easy to get into the habit of. A bit annoying, at first, but you'll cope.
Just reach out and touch him once in a while when you are together - shoulder, back of the hand, thigh - it matters not. Smile at him. Hell, wink at him once in a while! It isn't exactly rocket science here.
