I personally think scars are sexy. They make a girl standout. Give her character, depth and make her much more interesting to look at. You would have to be extremely shallow to avoid a girl with scars, especially if you like her and she's attractive.
As to the scratches. The main downside to dating a girl with a lot of scratches, bruises and things of the like is that a good portion of people upon seeing you with your guy, say on the subway or in line at a movie, will think he is abusing you. That could be very uncomfortable for you and him.
I would suggest that you learn to be a more defensive boxer and not get hit as much.

I know how you feel! I have alot of scars from a life of clumbsiness, being outdoorsy and sensitive skin that easily, i mean EASILY scars. It bothers me, i tend to hide them with long sleeves and jeans or makeup. Im always a bit wary of getting intimate because I never know if the guy im with is just lying or seriously doesn't care about them. Its just frustrating to me, but all of my boyfriends have never cared and never gotten turned off, they just say im hot and they think its cool... guys are weird lol But id just say dont apologize for them and learn to be comfortable in your own skin. and maybe for the both of us... hopefully we can fall, stumble, trip, crash, and get scratched...less often.
I agree with Mystery Man's answer. I play roller derby, and am also a little bit (ok, a lot) accident prone, so I often have some nasty bruises. I'd say about 50% of the guys I meet think this is sexy, or at least not entirely unattractive, just because of the athleticism of the sport. But yeah, it can be a little awkward when you're out with a guy (or by yourself, even) and have a black eye or some big ole bruises on your legs.
That being said, weair your scars and bruises with pride. Confidence is sexy in itself. You are an athlete, that's awesome. And onlookers are less likely to think that your bruises came from a negative experience if you aren't acting ashamed of them.
Failing that, I have a shirt that says "I'm not abused, I'm a derby girl" for when I am out with a guy and have noticeable bruises. I'm sure you could get one for boxing :-)

The love of my life summed it up pretty well when he found out I was embarassed about the various and sundry marks I have: "Scars are just tatoos with better stories." Wear them proudly, it means you've lived!
