I found a text on my boyfriend's cell phone, "Thanks for a great time champ." It leads me to think he's cheating, but he won't admit anything. He won't even tell me if I'm wrong and there's nothing to worry about but he won't come clean at all. If I'm wrong, why can't he tell me and I'll apologize for being wrong.

That is a weird text. Who calls someone "champ"? Is he sleeping with his high school football coach? Honestly, that sounds like something a dude would text. Are you sure that's not his douche-y friend at work who texted him after a night of drinking? "Fun time tonight, champ! See ya manana, Paco!"

Seriously, though, the fact that he is getting cagey and won't tell you who the text is from does raise some red flags. Clearly he's having a "great time" with someone without you. Even if that great time just consisted of downing craft beers and gorging on Tex Mex with Mike from accounts payable, there's no reason why he shouldn't let you know who the text was from. It could be he's annoyed that you went into his phone. That's fair, but it would be easier if he just fessed up to who sent the text. Now, whether he is cheating or not, he's cast suspicion on himself by clamming up. Tell him that he's being shady and should tell you who the text is from for the sake of the relationship. There's no way to say from that text if he's actually cheating, but his reaction is definitely a sign that something is up. At best, he's pulling away from you and keeping secrets. At worst, someone thinks he's a "champ" in the sack. You need to talk this out. Tell him that you don't want to be snooping on his phone, but you don't trust him right now based on his current behavior. If he refuses to talk this out, that's a sign the relationship could be in a bad place.

Not every found text is snooping, sometimes you hand someone they're phone and there's a text flashing, and it's hard not to read, not out of suspicion, but because it's the automatic impulse when you see words. I'm not saying that is what happened, she might have been going through his phone, but that's not the only way you end up reading peoples texts.

When something happens that requires an explanation - like his possible cheating - he shouldn't be given days to reply. Silence was his answer to your question. What I don't get is why you would ask him again - it's not as if your suspicions will go away now, whatever he says.

I believe this is grounds for a trial seperation since there is some issues with trust & this guys attitude about the whole thing. It's clear that the relationship isn't one that he fears losing or he's taking it for granted.I would leave & give this guy some space.he needs to decide what is more important. What is shocking to me is why so many women don't take a hint & let go? If you really love someone why would you force a relationship on them or make them love & respect you? Let this guy work his issues out on his own & learn to care for & respect yourself.
