Not necessarily. But it means he still has feelings for her. Or at the very least, he wants to sleep with her again. As relationship red flags go, this is a pretty big one.
This isn't like finding porn, which, despite the staggering number of questions we get about it, wouldn't be all that big of a deal. This is someone he cheated on you with. At the very least, it's beyond disrespectful to keep nude photos of her around. Even a clothed photo of her would be unfair and douche-y of him to keep around.
Confront him. This may end the relationship, but you can't let it go. It's a breach of trust and no one deserves that. Maybe they're old and he forgot about them. But probably not. There is little grey area here. I am not sure what happened with him cheating, but you must have found a way to forgive him. Even if he's not cheating on you with her now, he's keeping evidence of his past indiscretion as jerk-off material. And that's more than a little scumbag-y.
Normally I'd say this is just one of those souvenirs of past relationships guys keep around. I mean it wouldn't be uncommon for a girl to keep a sweet poem or a stuffed animal that they got from an ex. Not to be overly simplistic, but the naked pictures deal is pretty similar.
However, he cheated with this girl and I think we can generally agree that you pretty much have every right to ask him to purge ever shred of that girl from his life, and it shouldn't even be something you should have to ask him to do. In this case I don't think Nick is being overly harsh on the guy. The guy either still has feelings for her, still wants to sleep with her, or simply doesn't respect you enough to do what's right. There's always the chance that he's just a complete idiot too, but I find this highly unlikely. Either way, you deserve better.
Rich, you do have a point; however, stuffed animals/poetry are in no way similar to nude pictures. He cheated on his girlfriend with this girl...he should NOT have naked pictures of her...PERIOD.
i think that was his point. stuffed animals and souvenirs like that could be comparable to a naked pic of an old girlfriend EXCEPT that he cheated with her, and that makes it extremely inappropriate.
You should upload them to the Internet and make it appear he did so.
