As for advice: don't linger over it. You didn't do anything deliberately wrong; you got fooled. It happens. Once you found out, you cut off the relationship, so basically, you've done everything you're supposed to.
Sorry to hear about your situation, but you handled it well from the sound of things. Don't let this guy get you down: go out and find one who isn't a liar.
poor thing, sorry that happened to you. yeah, this is one of those its not me its you things, you absolutely did the right thing so good for you!! get back out there, not every man is a total douchebag, though it is very easy to think that when you are heartbroken, and the only way to prove that to yourself is to get back out there and see it for yourself. good luck!!

I've been fooled like this too, and unfortunately, it made me mis-trust and dis-trust men for years.
Guess what? It was MY loss...I sabotaged many a good relationship because of what D-bag married guy did to me.
There are plenty of good guys out there....here's to hoping we all find ours.

Unfortunately I've been in this situation before .. .. the first time i kept on asking my self .. why .. why would he do something like that .. Do I look like I OK with being THE OTHER WOMAN .. after 2 weeks of self questioning and analyzing .. i called him and confronted him .. he was like noo .. we broke up and all she was there just to take her things (she called me and asked me who am I .. why is he sending you a lot of messages and calling you baby .. i assured her that we are just friends and i don't mean anything to him .. she started crying and i told her i'll cut all ties with him and not to worry) anyways .. i hang up and never called back .. my conclusion .. is just forget about it completely and never look back .. the minute i hang up the phone i took him out of my life .. he is not even worth wasting your time, emotions or anything else for that matter .. but i have to say .. that after this .. every time i meet a guy that i like i ask him directly and instantly if he have somebody in his life .. and if he is lying you can always tell by his eyes ..
