As long as you don't give this guy any indication that you intend to do anything physical with him or that you might be interested in a relationship then you should be fine. If at some point he tells you that he really likes you and wants more and you know you don't, then you're using him maliciously and you should let him go. But for now, there's nothing wrong with a few movie dates and dinner dates as long as you don't put your puppies on the dinner table or the on a windshield and say, "see how big my boobs are getting?"

So make a short story even longer, as long as there's no implying of more so you can still hang with him or as long as he's not pledging his undying love for you, then sure, you can use him for company.
