Some peoples immune system can work great so they may not even see symptoms but still end up being a carrier and pass it out to other people. Some people can react right away when their system has things go wrong. All that comes down to individuals and how well their bodies handle things.

Get checked for your own sanity! He can tell you til he's about to pass out that he has nothing, but if it's true or not you wouldn't know until that test. And he could also be tellin g the truth too as you could have been carrying something and it didn't show up til just now or whatever. Point is never trust when you ask someone if they could have given you something. It's embarrassing to have to deal with I'm sure and most likely even more so to say it and tell people face to face. Trust that black and white copy the doctor will give you, take any meds you must, and you might be required to give a list of people or be responsiable to contact others you've been with so they can get checked too. Free clinics or planned parenthood are always good to go to. I vote planned parenthood (or equivalent) as they are more discreet and will work with people on a budget.

She isn't asking whether or not she should be tested - though I will go along the the IQ thingy completely if she hasn't because you always should.
