He is your ex for a reason. Remember? And it is a fairly safe bet it was him that split with you, or you'd not be talking this crap now. Forgiveness may be nice and soul satisfying, but you split up, I assume for a reason. That reason is still there.
If he is really, honestly interested, he'll make the running. Not you. You devote your time to giving him the runaround.
Now, get yourself out there and stop wasting your precious "Oh yes" time on might have beens.
