Most men do not behave this way. In fact, virtually all men do not behave this way. But there are a scant few, the absolute worst of the worst, that treat women like this.
On behalf of the 99% of men that aren't awful jackasses, I apologize for this terrible experience. If a man ever puts his hands on you like that, he is universally wrong, and hated equally by every decent man or woman.
I think we should use this all as a lesson, though. If you are dancing with a guy, talking with a guy, or otherwise interacting with a guy, and things get nasty, just leave. Don't try to salvage it. Men that behave that badly within the first few minutes of meeting you aren't likely to improve their behavior in the long run. There are plenty of good, decent human beings in the world. Do your best to stick to them.

It's good to note that that was him 'on his best behavior' don't stick around to see how he acts when he isn't 'behaving' himself.
Report him to the manager & security.
I had a guy try something similar. With a disgusting look on my face, I said loud enough for others to hear, "This is all you have going for you? Game over dude." I walked away & left him standing in the pile of garbage he was putting out. He got a few snickers from the cheap seats. (giggle)
Real men don't act like this, he is very lucky no one intervened. If I saw his happen to my GF, I would have knocked his ass out without a second thought.
Just....please, please not blame all men for this one asshat's deplorable behavior?
