Depends on the guy, and on you. Lot of gals don't particularly want sex anyway, when the painters are in, and some guys find it just gross.
Personally, I never really cared. Still don't. Old beach towel on the bed and a quick wash both before and afterwards and it's all good. A quick and dirty survey of a few guy friends found that they don't mind much either, by about three to one.
Just make sure he uses protection. You are more prone to infection and catching any little hitchhikers he may have if you have sex during your period.
Asking him for a session of oral might be a bit much though.
