The fact is, I have on idea - short of the double standard - why getting off to some girl-on-girl pr0n doesn't make you lesbian. Because I'd be fairly certain that a guy beating off to some guy-on-guy action was at LEAST bi-sexual. AT LEAST. Like, if you're dating a dude and you snoop in his closet (like most women do - yeah, I said it) and you come across some gay pr0n, you should really question his sexual preferences. Or at least whether or not he's bi. How that impacts your desire to continue dating him is on you, but you should at least ask.
I presume I'm biased because I love the female form so it makes sense to me that women would too. Hey, I'm a man. It's what we do: dwell in double standard land. For some reason, lesbianism isn't looked at the same way as being gay to a lot of people. It's not fair but it is what it is. I think sexuality and sensuality seem like such feminine concepts that the ability to appreciate women appreciating womeing seems like an almost natural fit.

Aside from the fact that all porn is horribly fake, and that even if you like what you see in porn, two women actually making love/fucking might not be anything appealing to you at all, I'd still have a little look at your orientation. :) This answer is great because it's personal, but in reality appreciating female on female action makes you much more likely to be gay or bisexual. Watching gay porn doesn't mean you are gay (didn't Swaim have a good answer about that from a guy point of view?) but it does make it more likely that you are.

People tend to think of sexuality in three distinct categories: straight, gay, and bisexual. People like to think in terms of categories it makes us feel comfortable cause things can be certain, so we create false dichotomies in our minds. In reality, sexuality, like most things, is a spectrum (ranging from purely heterosexual to purely homosexual). Men tend to be on the extremes of the spectrum, that is pretty much all straight or gay. Women tend to lie closer to the center of the spectrum- and be more "bisexual" than men.
That being said, if you are specifically looking and chosing lebains making love to each other instead of a guy and a girl then i would seriously question whether you are attracted to guys at all, because you're probably closer to the gay side than the straight side- if that makes sense. Its one thing to think women are sexy. Its another to seek and prefer/chose ladies havign sex instead of a guy/girl couple.
I agree with you about the fluidity of sexuality, but just because she decides to watch lesbian porn doesn't necessarily make her a lesbian. She might be more open to it, sure, but there's a big difference between enjoying watching it, and actually participating in a sex act with another woman.
Also the questionner didn't address whether or not she ONLY watches girl on girl type of films. This is purely assumption, but I'm guessing this is just a younger girl who saw a movie, liked it, then freaked out about it.
My god, read my post again. I never SAID she was a lesbian, i said if she prefers lesbian porn then its more PROBABLE than someone who does't chose to watch such lesbian porn that she is a lesbian..... and she should do some introspection as to what she's actually attracted to.
Also, I actually think that watching porn in secret to lesbians is a more likely indication of realizing you're a lesbain than having sexual acts with other girls. Well its perfectly normal to like porn (I do) and to be honest there aren't many male porn actors I enjoy watching lol no I don't think this makes you a lesbian. Guy-on-girl porn is way more focused on the guy's pleasure, with an average 10:1 blowjob to cunnilingus ratio. In contrast, girl-on-girl porn is, by definition, 100 percent about depicting girl pleasure. It makes sense that women would rather watch stuff that actually looks pleasurable to them.

I totally agree with this. Straight porn is all about pleasuring the guy. It's actually hard to find straight porn that doesn't end with a facial. If it weren't for that fact that most porn stars have giant boobs I'd almost think that men weren't interested in breasts at all.

You're totally right. I'm 100% straight and very attracted to my boyfriend and his penis, but I like the occasional girl-on-girl porn because it shows things being done to girls!!
