What? Men don't know from red lipstick. I'm not sure where you're getting your info, but I would believe the chick mags before I would believe anyone who says that the entire male population knows or cares enough about a shade of lipstick to hate it. Wear what you want.

Where did you hear this? I was just reading a "chick magazine" that claimed the opposite.lol They actually did an experiment with one of their writers and supposedly found that she was hit on and asked out much more often in the period of time that she wore red lipstick than before.
I don't think they care much either way myself, but if the red lipstick gives them a certain impression about the kind of person you are (for example some may think you appear confident, or aggressive, or perhaps adventurous) then that may play a part in the idea that some men don't like it.

In my opinion, red lipstick is sexy because it makes you feel sexy. It takes confidence to pull off bold looks. Guys won't notice it, but they'll notice your attitude - confidence is always sexy!
I'd say it depends on whether or not it looks good on you. People always say that guys look at the "big picture" to see if you look good instead of zoning in on the details.
The only types of men who care about a girl's lipstick are those who wear them too. They're very fun to hang out with, mind you! :)
The guys I've gone out with love my red lipstick and have expressed how sexy it looks on my lips.
I do not like red lipstick but I also don't like ANY lipstick at all. I like natural lips. I hate kissing a girl with lipstick and always have been that way.
However, I found this light pink lipstick I once purchased for my wife and I thought I she looked pretty dang hot yet I didn't kiss her much when it was worn.
I despise the very dark liptstick but that's just my opinion.
