I'm kind of tall and have bigger feet. But I love heels, and I always figured that I should wear higher heels because of the proportion of heel to my height/leg. I look odd in pictures with my shorter friends, either crouch or look like the skyscraper in the skyline. Does this translate to looking weird in real life?

My girlfriend is tall and sometimes wears heels, so I wanted to get her take first.

I'm always amazed at how much women suffer for fashion (heels can't be comfortable), but if it makes you feel sexy and confident, more power to ya. But no guy ever said, "She's too tall in heels. If you're going to wear heels wear them with confidence! You're just going to have to accept that as a tall women you're going to attract attention, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! Try thinking of yourself as 'striking' instead of 'weird' :)
heels CAN be comfortable when you are used to them. i am 5'11" and used to have this paranoia too, but as the previous commenter said, it's about confidence. once you have that down, wear those heels AND your height with pride, you will only look awkward and weird if you feel awkward and weird. i LOVE heels, always have, always will, and almost exclusively wear them. even a pair of my sneakers have platforms in them.and the past few guys i have dated have been 5'10 or shorter even. because i don't care so long as they dont. the only people that are not going to be comfortable around you are the people who aren't comfortable with themselves, and that is NOT your problem. and never never never crouch in pictures. do you know how many women would love to have your problem? own it, girlfriend.
Count me in as one of the one's who would love to have the tall-ness problem! I am 5'3 and I swear, if i was tall and didn't have to wear heels and kill my feet every night I go out, I would LIVE in flats! Being a short girl, I would much rather be tall then short but that's just me, I know we all want what we don't have lol.
