There is possibly one factor that would make this make sense, in a strange way. How experienced is he? If he is not that experienced, the whole euphoria of "holy crap, I got laid" could explain his talking out of turn.

Sure, maybe you don't mind him talking about your sex life to his room mates - but what about the other stuff? The things you tell him when you are sad, or upset, or vulnerable.
Can he keep his mouth zipped about them? I doubt it.
Bad - yes. Tacky - certainly. A dealbreaker? Up to you. I'd find another FWB, myself, and dump him, but then again I like my privacy.
