There is a big difference between asshole and stupid, douche and clueless. An assbag (or douchehole) is someone who knowingly deceives. Who knows that his actions and words will probably hurt someone, but doesn't care if they do. One makes a choice to be an asshole/douchebag. This is an important distinction. To be honest, it's not worth your time to tolerate either a person who consistently chooses their own feelings over yours, or someone too dense to even wrap their beefhead around the concept.

This guy you were recently with sounds like a total moron. And a lame one. These are the times in your life when you have every right to be a sarcastic jerk. I mean, who says "You know you want to." What kind of cheesebreath slimebasket says that with a straight face? You should have looked at this guy and said "You're absolutely right, I do want to!" And then laughed long and hard, like an evil clown. Or you should have drooled a little and gone all zombie and moaned "Bwarf Magubub Mehrrrrrrrr." That will really throw him for a loop. Or waved your hand in front of his face and said "These aren't the droids you're looking for." Or! Or! Or! You should have politely smiled, stood up, and been all "What are you, an idiot?" I wonder if this line has ever worked, or if this virginal Svengali is just hoping, one day, it does.

Anyway, a definite sign that a guy is a doucheburger is that he tries to get with you by telling you "You know you want to."
