Is it appropriate to play 'Bounce' at your wedding in front of your family?

No, it is an absolutely terrible idea to subject any person, no matter how bad they are, to the Jonas Brothers.

Joking aside, since the Jonas Brothers are annoying if harmless as overproduced pop crap, I'm assuming you're talking about the Jay-Z song. For those unfamiliar, here's the song in all its glory.

It's your wedding. If your family doesn't want to hear the song, they can throw their own party and not play it. It's a celebration, and you shouldn't have to censor yourself.

That said, I am the guy who's going to put the Dead Milkmen on his wedding playlist, so maybe I'm not the best guy to ask.

It sounds like you want to make sure you're being respectful towards your family. That being said if you really are worried about it you could just ask them, Keep in mind that it is your wedding though.

In my experience, the older family members (grandma, etc.) wont even know what words are being said... so they wont be offended. And most people in the parents age category (Aunts, uncles, too) already know this music is out and enjoyed by your generation.

If there will be children at the wedding, I might choose an edited version, or ask the parents if they would mind. I can see why someone might be upset if the 5-year-old ring bearer starts dropping f-bombs, post Jay-Z.

i believe they meant bounce by timberland. its quite dirrrtay. but such a GOOD beat. i'd be conflicted too!

Im assuming its the song by Timbland. It has more of a dance beat, and is quite inappropriate. If you MUST have this in in wedding playlist, honestly the older crowd will probably not be paying attention to the lyrics. If you are too worried that someone may confront you as to why on earth you would play this song... then perhaps save it for when you have a dance party, rather than your wedding.

Have whatever you want at your wedding - it's YOUR wedding. :)

It shouldn't be a day you look back on with regret, for whatever reason.

It definitely is a dirty song by Timba, but it's so good too. you know what, if you want a spicy moment on the dancefloor at your own wedding, do it! your parents will forget all about it in a few hours.

also, you can always play it later on in the night, when people have been hitting hte bar. mom and dad are much less likely to care--or notice--when they've been having drinks for a few hours

LMAO jayz, jonas brother, or timbaland either way its your party play what you want. I agree with Caitlin try to play the non dirty version or atleast warn the parents. You dont want little timmie to go to school the next days singing he wants to see some titties! Enjoy!!!
