This question comes up a lot. It seems some boyfriends and husbands out there don't like it when their gal beats them at video games. So I feel it's time I address the guy gamers out there. Guys: don't you want to be a better gamer? Isn't it cool that your gal is awesome at Left 4 Dead 2 or Super Mario Bros. Wii? And don't you want to get laid, like ever? Then chill the f- out.
Some guys are territorial when it comes to gaming. They just can't lose to anyone; particularly a girl. Don't stand for that retro, outdated b.s. Any guy worth your time will be overjoyed to be playing with a living, breathing female and take your higher score as a challenge to up his game.
So go forth, girl gamers. Blast him with grenades in Halo, pick up that triple in Wii Bowling. Become the best gamer you can possibly be, crushing male and female opponents alike. And if he complains about getting beaten by a girl, hit him with a Wiimote.

I think it keeps a fun competitive spirit between me and my boyfriend. A guy that gets mad is just a bad sport/not a real man. But I guess there's always cooperative play for the guy that can't handle a little competition.
This was always an issue for me and the guys I dated and shooting pool. I learned to play from my dad and uncles at the holidays. So, I've always been above average. Most guys thought it was cool. Now that I'm getting back into the dating scene, I'm finding they're not as cool about it now as they once were. Oh, well... NEXT!
I am badass as a rogue in WoW. Guys love it when they find out I'm a girl. Hahah. It's so much easier to get help.
My wife and I play games together all the time. Hell, it's how we met. Sometimes I win, sometimes she wins.
I don't like losing, but I'm good at it (I've had lots of practice). I'm just pretty competitive by nature. But it's all in good fun.
Ha, my boyfriend kicks my ass at every single game EXCEPT Call of Duty, I own him on that game. And, yea, I totally rub it in his face haha
My feeling is, they should be thrilled to be with a kick-ass gamer. Speaking as someone who is totally and completely helpless at gaming, I think that they should love the fact that you're not only able to play, but able to win! And if they can't handle it, they're not worth your time.

Personally I think its adorable when my gf does really good at games I love, I'm pretty competitve tho so I do always wanna get the better score- but I dont get mad, this usually just turns into a couple hrs of us sittin on the couch trash talkin and trying to out do each other...which leads to great sex. So in conclusion I think its great!

I am crap at some games and my boyfriend preferred playing those ones coz of that. And he had absolutely no patience with teaching me so I just refused to play. Needless to say, I was ecstatic a short time later when it got broken. I did not sabotage it!
When I bought Fight Night for my boyfriend I completely PWNED him. He couldn't take it - I cannot find that game to this day.

I had an ex-boyfriend of about 2 years who I ended up playing TF2 [Team Fortress 2] with, just to spend time with him, because he wasn't good at making time for things besides video games.
I would be ignored or he would just act so crabby towards me for the rest of the night, if I killed him one too many times on TF2. Ladies, if you are ever graced with a guy like that, DON'T waste your time on him. Pleeeeease take that smidgen of info with you, at least.

It doesn't really matter to me. My girl is way better than me in some video games and we are on par in others. We compete sometimes and then I tackle her while she is playing so I win. hahaha. It's all in good fun.
It's good to be competitive to a point. But who really cares about video games. Come on. It's never been a problem for us.
For your case, maybe let him win a bit to fuel his ego. Either than or win and then grab him and bang the living shit out of him. He will surely like that and want you to win more often!
My boyfriend just plain denies that I ever beat him, even though he's never won at any fighting game except for smash bros before.
