It doesn't matter, really.
Your virginity, or lack thereof, is your decision. There's not a single situation I can think of where dating somebody who doesn't respect your choices to do what you want with your body is a good idea. If a guy is hung up on your virginity or lack thereof, he's being a jerk, that simple.
Look for people you enjoy being with; that's the beginning.

My boyfriend when he thought I wasn't a virgin, was heartbroken. He'd cry for hours and I didn't know.
