It is absolutely okay to sleep with someone on a first date. Anyone who tells you that it makes you loose or slutty or anything like that is either a total prude or a backwards religious zealot--both are types you should probably avoid anyway. Sex feels good, is natural and tends to make people happy.
However, the one factor you should be concerned about is that if you put out on the first date, it makes it awful easy for the guy to move on before he gets to know you. If you make him wait a little while, he may find that he learns enough about you to actually like or even love you. Then he may stick around for the long haul, even after you have sex.
It's your choice as giving it up on the first date or making him wait both have their advantages.

if you really like him then i definately wouldn't have sex on the first date. the wait and build up good be good for both of you and the relationshop as well.
Sounds like you're setting yourself up to be a booty call to me. If that's okay with you, then go for it. Just don't be pissed when you have greater expectations of the relationship than he does.
Most guys don't respect women who have sex with them too soon. That sounds old fashioned but it's true. Guys who are "players" are total hypocrites in this area. I don't mean to be harsh but most guys have only 2 categories of women in their head: "potential girlfriend/wife" and "cheap slut." Once you are in the cheap slut category, you can NEVER cross over. These pickup artist/players will talk about how open minded they are all day (and night) long, in fact they learn in their SEMINARS exactly what to say to make women believe that casual sex isn't slutty. But it's just an updated version of "I'll respect you in the morning!" Yeah, right! That's never been true in the history of the world. In their heart of hearts, they will think less of you. If anyone disagrees with me, you are welcome to comment and tell me I'm wrong, but I'm not. Women who think otherwise are fooling themselves and setting themselves up for a world of hurt.
I did sleep w someone I had been talking to for awhile ... He was so amazingly hot until he smiled ( jacked up grill) then he kind of wheezed when he talked. So I tried to not look at him when he talked and zoned out the wheezing :) but the kicker was although he was very enthusiastic in bed he had the smallest penis . Needless to say glad I didn't waste anymore time ...
