The "where is this relationship going" conversation is one of the most important conversations you can have. Especially if you've got some life changes coming up.
People, talk to your boyfriend or girlfriend a few months before you move away or get a new (and busy) job or decide you want to live with them. Whether you think it'll be a good conversation or a rough conversation, I guarantee you that the more time you give yourself, the easier it's going to be.
