...What? Is he a ghost? There is so much going on here.
Okay, first...what do you mean by "themselves"? Why is that in quotes? Do you mean his penis? I think that's what you mean. I hope that's what you mean. I hope it's not all over his entire body. Okay, so, assuming we're talking about his penis, you're saying that there is a white residue on it before he showers and when he wakes up. Is it dandruff? Dry skin? So the white stuff goes away when he showers, or is it always there? Uh...I would tell him to see a doctor.
(Also, thank you for clarifying that it's not ejaculate.)
Short answer: no, this isn't normal. I have never heard of any guy having this condition. I'm going to Google it--- Okay, that was a mistake. I saw some horrible things that no man should ever see.
Seriously, I would recommend that you tell the person to see a doctor or specialist immediately. Tell him to get checked for STDs. You never know. Also, make sure he bathes regularly, and, uh, washes thoroughly.
I have to turn this one over to the GuySpeak community. Has anyone ever encountered this? Anyone?
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go be sick now.

The white residue could be talcum powder, I had a boyfriend who always put powder on after a shower or when he got dressed or undresed, changed clothes, etc., any opporunity. He didn't like feeling sweaty, sticky or musky. He ALWAYS smelled fresh and clean, women like that! Especially if our face will be in that area.
Oh God, I hope it's talcum powder.
I think it's normal if you've had unprotected sex the night before. Say you had sex, but he didn't wipe himself afterward. There would be dried cum from both you and him which would in turn be crusty and flaky the morning afterward. Ugh...the word crusty makes me involuntarily gag.
I would suggest maybe mentioning that he needs to clean himself up afterward. Or if there is no sex and he's just flaky for no reason then yes, he needs to see a Dr. STAT!
It could just be Smegma.. which is a natural lubricant which occurs during erections to protects the skin on the penis from cracking. The fact that it's always there means that he is being lazy about washing his junk. If enough accumulates, it could turn in to an infection. He should really scrub it or use a q-tip with warm water and soap... especially if he's not circumsized.
Of course, I'm speculating.. could be any number of things... but I had an ex with this prob..
I think it's normal if you've had sex without a condom the night before. Maybe he didn't clean himself off after sex. Therefore there would be residue from your cum and his that could be flaky and white.
If it's not from sex then I'd tell homie to get to a Dr. STAT!
This whole topic is pretty darn nasty. Adding to the nastyness, I have to ask, could be a yeast infection of sorts? He should see a dr. no matter what it is.
I was thinking "its probably smegma" too
No, the resident isn't literally there every day. He said it normally happens if he hasnt showered in the past day or w.e...and i was with him all the day and night before I noticed it...and we didn't have sex or anything and I know he didn't masterbate...unless smegma can also come from typical sleeping boners too.
Sounds like smegma. You don't need to have a boner for it to be there. It accumulates over time so if he hasn't showered in a while there would be more.
He should mention it to a Dr. though if either of you are concerned.
Smegma is the weirdest word ever
forget the typical "abstinence" talks with your kids....just let them read this post--they won't want to have sex....ever.
Oh lord, what have I started???? All Google searches for "smegma" are going to lead here.
Yes, he should definitely see a doctor. And bathe regularly.
Now can everyone please stop talking about smegma? I love you guys, but it's making me ill.
Also, wasn't Smegma briefly a metal band during the '80s?
Well it doesnt happen all the time...he said it seems to happen when he doesnt shower recently...but I didnt know if maybe he could be from a wet dream...I obviously don't have them so I don't know what they leave "behind"
I'm going to back it being smegma (sorry Nick). It happens naturally to all dudes, faster if you're uncut. I'll venture into the realm of TMI to say that it happens to me if I go without showering more than a day or two, and I get tested for STI's regularly so it's nothing to do with that. If you're worried about it, by all means ask him to get tested (he should be anyway, if he's sexually active.. AT LEAST after every partner). Beyond that, yeah, he just needs to shower more often. Hope that helps.
Ok I kind of figured. It isnt an issue. We've been together 4 years and only noticed it like that once cause it was noticeable. I just didn't know if maybe it was from a wet dream. Whats its normally like down there for a guy after he does have a wet dream?
I'm guessing a little sticky and wet.
dry cum more than likely. Gross...purchase him baby wipes to keep next to the bed and trash can that way his lazy ass doesnt have to get up to get clean.
I think the general answer to this topic is NO IT'S NOT NORMAL :)
I have to say that for the last few of hours i have been hooked by the impressive posts on this blog. Keep up the good work.
