I've noticed that I'm often only hit on by men of color (i.e. Black/Latino men). I'm Asian, on the chubby side, big rack, flat ass though (sadly :-(). Why do you think that is? White or Asian guys rarely do the same.

Interesting question. Based on your self-description I'm guessing part of it is that in the eyes of many in the Black and Latino community you'd be "thick".

And I know Black men love them a thick woman. Add to the fact that you're Asian and for a lot of guys, you've got yourself a winner. Of course, it's all merely surface and totally superficial and has more to do with your genetic makeup than who you are or might be as a person, but you're asking why you get attention, not relationships.

For some odd reason (and I can only really largely speak on the Black community) there has always been an Asian interest in many Black men. Perhaps its the perceived freaky nature of Asians (don't shoot the messenger), or the wanting to try something new and different phase that all Black men seem to go through. My guess is that a lot of these cats are looking to you for a good time so that afterward they can add a notch to their belt and go home to their Black women.

As far as why white guys rarely pay you attention, I'm not white but let's just chalk that up to the European standard of beauty theory that folks float out there in race wars and modeling. I've heard (and will more than welcome alternative opinions on this) that white men tend to like thinner women, though I think Jennifer Lopez may have send that theory into a tailspin.

I have a question for you, though. Are you asking because it's a problem for you or are you just curious? If it's a problem, then there's probably not much you can do about it. Not sure where this happens to you but perhaps changing locales may help. Unless you're just that provocative where it doesn't matter where you go, because there you are and some Black or Latino dude just can't help himself.

If you're just curious, then welcome to the wonderful world of race relations and understanding the minds of men. One man's treasure is another man's trash and vice versa. We many never fully know the answer to this question.

Then again, what's the fun in the answer, anyway?

To answer your question: it’s a little bit of both. It’s not really a problem, but while it can be flattering, sometimes the way men express their appreciation makes me a tiny bit uncomfortable. And I’m also curious because it happens so obviously—I’ll be out with a bunch of white friends and through the night they’ll be approached by various white guys and I’ll be approached by Black/Latino guys.

I know it’s impossible to really get an answer but I’ve been told various things by others: Asian guys aren’t as forward, Black/Latino guys are more confident and will approach you--though I don’t know where this leaves the white dudes. I am aware of guys with an Asian fetish and am wary of them but I actually worried about that more with white guys and less with those of color. It could be that I’m thick, but since I don’t have a nice ass I didn’t think I qualified. Just wanted some input though 

belive it or not, white men DO like black women, because of the big booty

I can answer the "Where this leaves white guys" question. From my experience AS a white man, most of my peers tend to circumvent bold and aggressive ploys in favor of overcompenating with a vehicle of some kind, or by wearing clothes solely bought at pac-sun.

However, I think that by saying that "Black's like asians, and asians like whites and whites blah blah" is generalizing a bit too much. Instead, perhaps look at the crowd of people that you hang out with, and the different places you frequent.

However, if you are getting hit on at the supermarket, maybe you have a whole 'nutha set of problems. "Chew walkin or workin babee?"

So what would you say for guys liking girls from different ethnicites with the different body types?

Yes white guys DO like girls that aren't super skinny. I've never been super skinny (i'm white btw and kinda thick for a white girl lol) and most of my ex's are white as well. From what i gather from most of the guys i know... skinny is ok for looking at, but they'd rather be with a woman who has curves :D

Megan

I'm "thick" in the way that I have a large bosom for hiding things and an ass that has made many a black man question the line of my Irish family tree.

I can pretty much get any brown man I set my sights on. They LOVE me. However, I tend to find them more needy then their white counterparts.

I don't discriminate, a man is a man.

I'm half asian and I've also noticed that I am hit on by men of color more often than their white counterparts. I'm small, but not super skinny. I have an hourglass shape, meaning that I actually have boobs and an ass, unlike a lot of full asian girls. I don't think that they are more likely to be attracted to me, but I think they are more likely to be forward and hit on me or blatantly check me out.

Steph

yeah im asian too and i have the same body as you except i have a big ass. i only ever dated 2 white boys, but i dont think its a race issue, i think it just depends on what that guy's into.
