OP here - thanks for answering my question Nick! Have stumbled across a good one particularly relevant to me at the mo and thought I'd share:
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." - Dr Seuss.
Cheers :)
"And really that's all you need, someone who sees the psycho that you are and likes you anyway." -Icicle Jr. (Young Justice)
My favorite quote from what I've found to be quite an enjoyable series, and the new episodes should be coming out soon ^_^ In an age where so few cartoons get it right, this one's trying it's damnedest, and the animation is beautiful. Other than Phineas and Ferb, it's the only american kids cartoon this toon junkie is currently following.
I LOVE that!!
I LOVE me some Phineas & Ferb! :-D
Anger is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured.
- Mark Twain
I always try to remember that whenever I'm dwelling on the day to day crap that kinda builds up.
Wow thanks for that list of movies and directors to look out for!!!! I cant wait for the new pixar film to be out.
"Never let anyone remain your priority while you remain their option"
Nobody can make you feel inferior without your permission.
"The greater part of our happiness or misery depends on our dispositions and not on our circumstances." - Martha Washington
Life IS good.
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
There are only two ways to live your life, one is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. ~ Albert Einstein
he also said,
Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing it is stupid.
The Vita has only gotten mixed reviews and weak sales, and unless you also buy a Sony's overpriced proprietary memory card, the Vita is essentially useless. The Japanese aren't happy with the Vita.
Oh yeah? That's a shame. I also heard you can't play old PS One games on it. Well, I have plenty of other games to look forward to. Maybe they'll work out the kinks for America.
Sony's going to have to include the memory card, even if only 2GB, since they use their proprietary format and not a standard SD, if they want the Vita to sell decently in the US market. If the Japanese customers are this upset over the Vita not coming with a card, US customers are going to be downright pissed.
Leave everything better than you found it.
There are some awesome lists for inspiration on this site...like "30 things to start doing for yourself" and "12 Things Happy People Do Differently"...stuff like that. With explanations and examples, so it gives you the motivation to incorporate them into daily life.

I've also taken advice from my mentor, who is an educational behavioralist, who runs an ad agency, so she's sharp, funny and cool, but strategic. Each year we each select one word to use as a base point of navigation throughout the year, from which you assess all that you do for major decisions, such as taking "Risk", or "simplify" or experiencing "delight", or having "Courage".
So many ways to inspire ourselves without being weighed down by those who still use "thinking outside the box" or "paradigm shift".
Enjoy...and Happy New Year.
Perhaps not as appropriate for men as for women, but one of my most used expressions both for myself and my friends is:
"Put on your big girl panties and deal with it."
Given the spread of metrosexual movement in America, perhaps even more appropriate for men lol...
Before I left to study abroad, I was terrified. Then a friend told me:
"Adventures are good for you!"
It's become my motto.
Life is what happens while we are making other plans.
- Allen Saunders
John Lennon usually gets named for this one, but we must give credit where credit is due.
"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary." - Steve Jobs
"In 3 words I can sum up everything I've learned about life. It goes on." - Robert Frost
"Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly."
"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." - Hanlon's Razor
"I will never allow myself to stoop so low as to hate any man." - Booker T. Washington
"One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon, instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today." - Dale Carnegie
(I have a whole file of these...)
"It is no great accomplishment to make a million friends, the great accomplishment is to make a friend who stands by you when a million others are against you."
"When fate unites two strangers, heaven and earth cannot break them apart"

"Everything will be okay in the end, and if is not okay, then it isn't the end." - Patrick Star
