Let's put it this way, if the vagina was a sandwich on a deli menu, it wouldn't be the top seller. Nobody in their right mind would forgo the Turkey Club or BLT and order a large, wet, hairy vagina.
BUT, because vaginas live in between your legs they are alluring and attractive things. Men like eating p*ssy because it's a woman's Holy Sexual Grail. When a man (or woman) is face to face with the mighty V they feel like Indiana Jones, holding Jesus' goblet in The Last Crusade. In other words, it takes a lot to get to that dang thing; we've crossed deserts, fought off snakes, tanks, Sultans and evil Germans. Your vagina is the sexual finish line; it represents unlocking the key and making things whole.
This is to say, for many men, the destination itself is the attraction, not necessarily the salty slippery flesh. (*as a side, this all holds true for the penis too, there are plenty more attractive things than a stinky, slinky tube of skin)
But, I don't want to paint a one sided picture: eating P for P's sake is attractive in that it makes the vagina owner, hot, heavy and horny. It's beautiful to be able to bring someone to a place of pleasure. And, there is personal pleasure in knowing how to work the bells and whistles of a vagina. It's a complex body part and learning how to "eat" it with skill, can be as gratifying as learning how to properly eat a hard-shell crab. You see: Good things come to those who... eat?

Really? With all of the guys I know its the exact opposite! Ones who've never eaten out before are absolutely HORRIFIED by the idea, and the ones that have say they were traumatized by the experience. Even girls rant and rave on how they woulld *never* go downtown! I've never done it myself, but it makes me really sad. Are vaginas really that repulsive to everyone???

I made the mistake of telling my fiancée that I was a little uncomfortable with it and now he treats it like a plague.. that or I have a caution sign blinking down there warning him of alligators and mutant spiders or something... only twice in one year and neither time was anywhere near close to doing anything for me (time wise). The real problem is once you get to this point, it's really hard to make someone understand that you're uncomfortable because you think it might offend them and that hell yeah it's okay if you want to muff dive occasionally after I've had a nice hot shower... damn me and my big mouth!

Some guys just don't enjoy going down there, some just might not know that you want them to. My current BF thought that I didn't enjoy that part, but after I told him that I do, it has become a regular part of our activities together. As with any sexual relationship, you have to learn what makes each other happy, and talking about it is the best way to figure things out.
Pragmatism. ;) They want to please us, and we're a lot more likely to climax this way than with intercourse. Aren't we?
